Vero Beach Newsweekly - 9/6/2017

VERO BEACH –The Mental Health Association of Indian River County and Wilke's 14 Bones Barbeque fired up the grill to raise money and awareness for an important cause last month

The Vero Beach, family-owned barbecue joint donated 10 percent of its Aug. 7 proceeds to the Mental Health Association.

Giving back is not a new concept to 14 Bones, located at 1500 S. US Hwy. 1. As the official restaurant of the Vero Beach Fighting Indians football team, the restaurant provides full meals to the entire team before every home and away football game.

The Mental Health Association in Indian River County Walk-In Center, located at 820 37th Place, in Vero Beach, offers free mental health screening, crisis intervention services, and information and/or referral about how to address their mental health issues.

The center is open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Psychotherapy, group therapy, case management, and psychiatry services are also available for clients seeking ongoing mental health services on an appointment basis at the center.
