Brunch in Stow will honor veterans; proceeds will benefit Summit Liberty House

The 2019 Veterans Appreciation Brunch on Nov. 10 at the Acker-Moore Memorial Post in Stow will feature Summit County veterans state Rep. Casey Weinstein, D-Hudson, and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose as guest speakers.

Veterans and active duty members of the military can eat for free at the brunch that will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post at 3733 Fishcreek Road.

Suggested admission for other guests is $10; children ages five and under also can eat for free.

The event will feature a breakfast buffet, live music and raffle items.

Proceeds will benefit Summit Liberty House in Akron, the county's first housing facility for homeless female veterans and their children.

Hosts for the breakfast are the Acker-Moore Memorial Post, which is VFW Post 4738 and American Legion Post 175, as well as the Stow-Munroe Falls Neighborhood Improvement & Community Enrichment organization and Peg's Foundation.
